Cliveden House

I haven’t written for a while and that’s not to say I having been visiting some noteworthy restaurants, bars and hotels. I sat down last weekend after s busy weekend only to find that cliveden House a beautiful 350 manor hotel I had only visited two weeks prior was on the tv. The house will be featured on channel four as part of a 5 episode series.

If you have seen the show or had the pleasure to visit you will join me in saying that Cliveden is one of the most beautiful hotels in the UK. The building oozes history and has been kept in immaculate condition with original architecture, walls showcasing art dating back to the 16th century along with a mixture of antique furniture and period interior features.

The grounds are absolutely breathtaking... I actually witnessed the garden team hard at work pruning and attending to what I thought was already a perfect garden! If you only think back to a few months ago where we saw one of the hottest heat waves we’ve experienced since 1976, it’s incredible to see the sea of vibrant green grass and lush foliage that surrounds the house. 376 acres of Grade I listed formal gardens and National Trust grounds woodlands is the perfect setting for any city break, I will definitely return to explore more of the grounds when the weather is a better!

Despite having a short stay at the house we took advantage of what the historic property had to offer! When we arrived it was late afternoon and the sun had already started to go down making our walk down to the river through the tree-lined path rather romantic. We hadn’t realised that Clivedens Spring Cottage sat opposite the river and both thought it was a lovely location for a private and cosy, stay!

When we returned to the house it was off to the spa, which had everything a girl could wish for. I could have spent a lot more time in the changing room if I hadn’t of had someone waiting for me, It was fully equipped and rather chic to be honest! We enjoyed the indoor pool and spa and took a dip in the outdoor hot tubs hidden behind the garden walls.

After spending quite a few hours in the spa we went to got ready and visited the bar for a quick cocktail before dinner. We chose to dine at the Cliveden Dining Room and enjoyed a three course à la carte menu which really showcased why the restaurant had three rosettes! Such a treat!

I can’t recommend Cliveden enough and honestly this one place that doesn’t even need it! Fantastic.

Easy mornings

Mornings are so important and when living in london its so easy to rush the time away! A good sleep and chilled morning routine can really set you up for a amazing day!

Last Thursday I stayed in central with my friends, drinking, eating and laughing into the night. When morning came we slowly got ready and enjoyed a healthy yet indulgent breakfast. Mine was scrambled tofu, spinach and mushrooms… It helps when your friends a chef!

Not something I normally do but I took some loved the special things around my friends flat like these beautiful herringbone cotton guest towels from Fog Linen Work, marvis tooth paste and skin brush so I took some snaps. (praise when praise is due!)

I find that interior/ outfit and product shots are always best at the start of the day with the morning light pepping through the windows along with the natural shadows as the clouds past by!

This year I didn’t have time to make my presents look extra special however I used ribbons and cute tags with paper (all recyclable). This was my present from my friend which featured a eucalyptus leaf leaf and a photography taken on a trip aboard, simplitisc but very cute. What was inside was even better, a hand knitted fishermans knit!

Bulgari London and Rivea London

Despite living in London I love a luxurious staycation and staying at the Bulgari hotel only fulled my obsession! Most things in knightsbridge are rather nice however this 5* hotel passed all my expectations, from the amazing customer service, delicious food and private in-house cinema! The hotel sits on the edge of Hyde Park corner featuring contemporary rooms and suites, a outstanding spa and gym and restaurant called Rivea London.

I have to mention the A La carte Menu by Alain Ducasse, beautiful dishes and at a very affordable price! We loved the breadsticks with homemade tasting dips, the Fennel and Grapefruit & Coco Bean and Sage dips were firm favourites! Who would of thought waiting on our starters would be such fun?! (If you go, try and guess the flavours without looking at the taste card!).

The fabulous dining room was designed by noted Italian architect and designer Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel and Partners.

I choose the TummyTonic which was comprised of almond milk, 18 Chocolate Pea Protein, Paleo Fiber, mint, flax seed, very yummy! I also had a few sips of my friends Tranquility shake which was made from almond milk, 18 Vanilla Pea Protein, magnesium, mint, avocado, lovely and refreshing especially after a good massage!

When choosing a hotel for a stayaction I also look for a room which will provide total comfort! The suite was the perfect treat with a spacious living space, sparkling bathroom with a tub and separate shower along with the option of 24/7 room service or personal butler! Everything a girl would want from a city stay and Bvlgari has it all!

At Home With Roxanne Campbell

Last weekend I had the pleasure of inviting the very own Roxanne Campbell into my home to experience her VIP nail treatment service

On a whole I was honoured to even meet her as these days we don’t even know the people behind beauty brands so the opportunity to meet... and obviously grill her was amazing!

As expected Roxanne was absolutely lovely and I could see straight away why she has worked with so many famous faces over the years. Backstage at fashion week, behind the scenes on red carpet looks and visiting the homes of the rich and famous. Her warm, down to earth and relaxed personality set me at ease and made me feel like I’d known her for years!

As she set up the foot bath, clean towels and unwrapped the new nail tools I looked over the collection picking out what new favourites I would be wearing through spring summer 2018

The collection sees a vibrant pallet that can be worn for different occasions from her vibrant ‘VIOLETS ARE BLUE’

to the ‘OFF TO JAMAICA ‘orange perfect for that summer getaway

I’ve had my nails done so many times... truly it would be silly to try and count, so It was interesting to see the difference between an average manicure and pedicure and the luxury VIP treatment the red carpet stars receive from Roxanne

First thing was prepping my nails and nail beds. Roxanne used oils to soothe and moisturise through out the wholleeee treatment. She buffed and filed my nails before applying the RC base coat, two layers of the RC  NUDE TIGHT. She then sealed the look with the glossy top coat.

Neat wouldn’t be the word...My nails have never looked so pristine! I couldn’t help but grin, but clearly knew that I could neverrr get close to the perfectly manicured nails I was gazing at.

Appointments and pricing for Roxanne’s private service is on a request bases

(FYI I booked a month in advance to receive the treatment so if you have a special occasion make sure to give her an email in advance)

Visit to shop the SS18 collection along with the full classic collection

Weekend away in the Cotswolds at The Lords of the Manor

I spent last weekend relaxing and enjoying the great British countryside in the Cotswolds. My perfect getaway place, fresh air (dependant on what field you may pass) scenic walks and cosy village pubs

I had the pleasure of staying at The Lords of the Manor a luxury country hotel located in upper slaughter. The hotel boasts a cosy, sitting room-like bar, restaurant, resting rooms and one impressive wine room (dream room for me) It was rather cold so I didn’t spend much time in the garden but it was still beautiful for this time of year!

My room was pretty, spacious and so welcoming. It featured a walk in wardrobe, arm chairs and a side table with trendy country lifestyle magazines, a beautiful large dressing table, comfy window seating and a good sized bathroom with his and hers sinks robes and the softest bath towel

I had such a lovely time away being wined and dined by all the attentive staff at The Lords of the Manor. I’m going to miss the quiet mornings with breakfast in bed, long country walks wrapped up in chunky knits, tailored blazers and long walking boots. But lets not forget those impromptu pub lunches between visiting independently owned galleries and country manors.

Oh I could cry!! Thank you for a lovely stay The Lords of The Manor, I can’t wait to visit again

Roxanne Campbell AW17

I love a good pamper session and last weekend was all about unwinding and TLC

When choosing colours for my nails i often go for nude tones for a effortless transition from outfit to outfit and day to night. I guess it’s hard to find colours that can do it all! Recently I’ve opted for shellac or polishes at home that have a gel element for endurance, because who wants to be repainting their nails everyday?!

I packed my RC AW17 colours for my Cotswold mini break and decided to go with the cool grey colour named Stormy Weather for the majority of the weekend! The minimal and clean grey was the perfect accomplice to all the creams, whites and denim colours incorporated into my countryside getaway outfits.

Roxanne Campbell has created a smooth and silky polish that is light on application but strong and durable. Her colours are sophisticated and clean matching catwalk clothing trends whilst adhering to classic go tones that compliment existing outfits

Im pretty stuck in my ways when it comes to nail paint, I tend to stick with top brands and spend a little more, from visiting the nail shop for gels or investing in premium bottles all just so I can have a good nail coat that will last

RC is a new addition to my polish rack and I can’t wait to add some more of her fabulous colours!
