No. 11 Pimlico Road

Today a good friend and I decided to meet for a catch up in Victoria. We both didn't know of any good eats for brunch so searched the fourspace app and No11 appeared and seemed to be popular choice among many of the app users. We arrived around 2.30pm and was lucky to get a table as the restaurant was packed and we hadn't booked. We were seated at lovely table next to the window allowing us to enjoy the sunshine whilst taking in the beautiful decor inside. No11 interiors reflect a open kitchen dining space, bright, spacious and cool.

Long dining tables surrounded by wooden chairs centred the dining space following the bar around the room and giving customers a first hand view of the bar staff professionally mixing cocktails. Against the wall, white and grey marble topped tables lined the outskirts of the room accompanied by white metal chairs and mini succulents in concrete pots. We were greeted right at the door by a friendly guy, who beckoned us in asking how our day was and if the table available was ok. It was. After receiving the menu my friend and I knew that we had chosen the right place to brunch, changing what was a quick catchup to a full on meal... with prosecco of course.

There was so many yummy choices on the menu which was great for me being a pescatarian and friend being quite health conscious.  I ordered the Avocado Cheese Toasty with taleggio and buttered sourdough as fancied something slightly naughty and I also love taleggio cheese. My friend choose the Panfried Field Mushrooms, Marinated Ricotta, Truffle Balsamic & Parmesan on Toasted Sourdough, with an iceberg and blue cheese side salad to share ( yes cheese on cheese). All the dishes came quickly despite the restaurant being full, my friends mushroom dish came fully seasoned and was simply delicious. My toastie was everything I could have hoped for, unlike other places the sourdough wasn't dry and I presume the loaf was freshly baked this morning.

Overall we both really enjoyed not only our meal but our time spent at no11 and plan to return for dinner soon.
