Summer Time Sadness

British summer days are a sweet cocktail of fresh sunny mornings,  cloudy afternoons and light showers breathing life into the beautiful English countryside. But a little rain never stopped us from having fun! let's be honest we love any excuse to get the sunnies out and sport a oversized wicker bag even if it is accompanied with an umbrella.

Last Saturday I thought I'd throw on my frilly floral wrap dress and hope for the best. I sat next to the window taking in the sunshine whilst curling my hair in the hope to achieve perfect relaxed waves... typically the minute I stepped outside I was treated to wind swept light showers,  but despite this the sun shone throughout the day filtered by a cloudy blanket making a dreamy musky atmosphere. So whilst walking around west Kensington trying to find the perfect vegan brunch spot we came across a beautiful row of mews and took the opportunity to capture this dress from H&M... I know H&M who knew & it's back in stock!

Ahhh the aviator jacket!! I am totally in love with this trend and was so happy when I finally got my hands on my own oversized Aviator jacket. So warm, so cool and such a statement piece.

I chose to brave the winter weather and ditch the tights, teaming my racer print body with my mini wrap skort. Skorts aren't usually my thing however this one fitted like a dream and featured the ever so popular eyelet detailing, which helped tie in my other sliver metal elements throughout the look.

Monochrome

After having such a lovely summer we are now approaching those colder months and everyone is left not knowing what to wear because of the classic unpredictable British weather. A quick glance outside from the safety of your window can be pretty deceiving, just because the sun is shinning it doesn't mean that the wind isn't cutting people left right and centre. I  naturally feel the cold no matter where I am but love my girly dresses and skirts, so this monochrome outfit is perfect choice for the in-between months.
