For love of lemons

Wow we have been blessed with such a beautiful summer this year! Despite Britain normally not having a actual summer I actually have a larger spring summer wardrobe than rather than winter.

Anyway there are quite a few trends I have been enjoying so I will try and get them up onto my blog or insta, however, this one is about lemons... Well more yellow but with a  shout out to lemons lol

This summer I have been loving yellow and sporting at any occasion I can. Bridal showers, weddings, visits to the park you name it. Usually, I gravitate towards block colours when shopping for clothing however last month at two weddings opted for print. && yes, one was floor length a yellow maxi with a floral design.

Despite wearing block yellows and yellow with prints I have to comfess my love for the lemon print. Kinda kitsch I know but I love it!

This summer my wardrobe took on a more relaxed feel with light linens, clean cottons and Italian countryside influences. Simplistic tees and mummy style cropped jeans tended to be this summers go to outfit... Along with a plethora of midi-length dresses in natural colours and rustic fabrics sporting vintage style tortoiseshell buttons.

I had a slight fling with the ever-popular mules and indulged in gold statement jewellery... && of course still showcased my love for pearls

Button gang

Not sure what it is about this trend but I’m all for it and can see it in my wardrobe for many years to come as simplistic staples worked in with future outfits to come!

There are various button trends, however, I’m only interested in the simplistic chic look. Clean and sand washed silks, textured cottons and linens formed into feminine shapes with interesting pattern cutting techniques... I actually have seen some on-trend button garments that have exaggerated sleeves, rounded shoulders and flared wrist cuffs and even high waisted Bell bottoms (seen below, I may do a bell bottom post... what do you think?) which only adds to this beautiful trend

So here’s a round up my top picks for this key Spring Summer trend and basically a good insight into my wish list (as I love them allllll)
