At Home With Roxanne Campbell

Last weekend I had the pleasure of inviting the very own Roxanne Campbell into my home to experience her VIP nail treatment service

On a whole I was honoured to even meet her as these days we don’t even know the people behind beauty brands so the opportunity to meet... and obviously grill her was amazing!

As expected Roxanne was absolutely lovely and I could see straight away why she has worked with so many famous faces over the years. Backstage at fashion week, behind the scenes on red carpet looks and visiting the homes of the rich and famous. Her warm, down to earth and relaxed personality set me at ease and made me feel like I’d known her for years!

As she set up the foot bath, clean towels and unwrapped the new nail tools I looked over the collection picking out what new favourites I would be wearing through spring summer 2018

The collection sees a vibrant pallet that can be worn for different occasions from her vibrant ‘VIOLETS ARE BLUE’

to the ‘OFF TO JAMAICA ‘orange perfect for that summer getaway

I’ve had my nails done so many times... truly it would be silly to try and count, so It was interesting to see the difference between an average manicure and pedicure and the luxury VIP treatment the red carpet stars receive from Roxanne

First thing was prepping my nails and nail beds. Roxanne used oils to soothe and moisturise through out the wholleeee treatment. She buffed and filed my nails before applying the RC base coat, two layers of the RC  NUDE TIGHT. She then sealed the look with the glossy top coat.

Neat wouldn’t be the word...My nails have never looked so pristine! I couldn’t help but grin, but clearly knew that I could neverrr get close to the perfectly manicured nails I was gazing at.

Appointments and pricing for Roxanne’s private service is on a request bases

(FYI I booked a month in advance to receive the treatment so if you have a special occasion make sure to give her an email in advance)

Mule loving

My new obsession is Mules! Flat Mules, Kitten Heeled mules and of course high high stiletto mules.

So the combination of relaxed weekend wear such as jeans and knits or long floral maxis, some pretty jewellery and pair of sexy mules is right up my street!

Effortless in Red

From time to time I do indulge in bright colours, frills and patterns (honest). Recently the blog has been awash with vibrant reds and here's one more shoot which will add to the red obsession.

I have also been actively trying to explore the more casual side of dressing and with this being said I have started an unconscious series that involves lots of denim and transitional items (check out my last post)

This shirt is such an effortless piece, perfect teamed with jeans, closed or open with a vest underneath. I actually have the same top but it's slightly different boasting large white polka dots on a light baby blue background. I couldn't help but pull out several pairs of chunky platforms to go with this look but settled with a suede red bow platform with patent chunky Heel and gold Accessories to Match

Shirt Sunday

Here's to the lazy Sunday mornings and the classic white shirt. This is the ultimate go to garment. The shirt is the perfect effortless piece for many so Sunday antics whether it be brunching in central or relaxing at home with your favourite book.

I have never been a huge fan of military style and would rather stick to my basics then jump on this recurring trend but when I was presented with this cool star embellished shirt, I quickly changed my mind. Both the shirt and high waisted skirt are from River Island with extremely reasonably price points.

I choose to tuck the shirt into the skirt to dress it up a little,

however this shirt lends itself to a more casual way of styling.. ie worn open over loose cotton tee with a pair of skinny jean and trainers

.The lace up boots are actually one of my favourite pairs of shoes that I purchased from And Other Stories at the beginning of the year. Since then they I have worn them sooo many times, throughout the day and of course on nights, commonly teamed with a pair of black luxe leggings, long silk v-neck vest, leather biker jacket and gold jewellery.
